James Fite is a multi-award winning filmmaker and founder of Check Your Brain Productions. His last film, Project Mone't, was nominated for 6 awards, and won 4.  He has directed many productions ranging from corporate promotional videos, scripted film reviews, shorts, and stage plays. He has been involved in several aspects of visual arts, including directing, writing, producing, acting, editing, music scoring, set design, cinematography and special effects. At one point he worked in the video game industry as storywriter, level designer, model builder, texture artist and composer.

He teamed up with Brandon Johnson at cruiserfilms in 2012 to collaborate on projects.  Together, they have produced the documentary Project Mone’t, a horror short titled I See Something, both written and directed by James Fite.  They are currently in pre-production on the feature film Carnage Radio, which is also written by James and he will direct.

James is also currently finishing up post production on a collaboration with Tom Parks who wrote the script Church Grounds. James took on the role of Director for the project.
