Friday Only - Writer's Boot Camp with Chuck Sambuchino

Chuch Sambuchino's Writer's Bootcamp is an all day workshop taking place at the Allison Fine Arts Building in the Wagner & Brown Auditorium on the Midland College campus.

The boot camp will run from 9:30am to 5:00pm on Friday September 15, 2017. Lunch is included with your registration, and will be provided at the Jack E. Brown Dining Hall on the Midland College campus. Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day.

The boot camp will cover 5 main topics:

1. An Overview of Your Publishing Options Today

2. Everything You Need to Know About Agents and Query Letters.

3. “Writers Got Talent”—a Page 1 Critique Fest.

4. Platform, Social Media, and Blogging.

5. Ten Keys to Writing Success.

A confirmation email will be sent at the time of registration, and each participant will receive a welcome packet and name badge when they arrive for the event.

The 2017 Permian Basin Writers' Workshop has been produced by the Permian Basin Bookies a local 501(c)3 nonprofit. Philanthropic support for the 2017 workshop has been generously provided by the Midland County Public Library Foundation, Abell-Hanger Foundation, and the Wayne and JoAnn Moore Charitable Foundation. Corporate donors include Permian Abstract and Commercial State Bank.

Fundraising has already begun for the 2018 Permian Basin Writers' Workshop. Registration fees cover only %50 of the cost of the workshop. The remaining 50% is raised charitably.
