The Permian Basin Writers' Workshops' Saturday lineup features an all-star cast of writing coaches and literary agents from across the country. The all day conference will take place at the F. Marie Hall Academic Building on the Midland College campus.

Saturday's events will run from 9:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday September 16, 2017. Registration includes full access to Saturday's workshop sessions, 1 complimentary one-on-one pitch with a visiting literary agency, lunch and snacks during the day.

The day's lineup features: Tom Blubaugh, Jane K. Cleland, Elizabeth Sims, Johnny D. Boggs, Laura Drake, Dana Smith, and Sara Barnard.

A confirmation email will be sent at the time of registration, and each participant will receive a welcome packet and name badge when they arrive for the event.

The 2017 Permian Basin Writers' Workshop has been produced by the Permian Basin Bookies a local 501(c)3 nonprofit. Philanthropic support for the 2017 workshop has been generously provided by the Midland County Public Library Foundation, Abell-Hanger Foundation, and the Wayne and JoAnn Moore Charitable Foundation. Corporate donors include Permian Abstract and Commercial State Bank.

Fundraising has already begun for the 2018 Permian Basin Writers' Workshop. Registration fees cover only %50 of the cost of the workshop. The remaining 50% is raised charitably.
