Cotton fields, pumpjacks, and Friday night lights define the West Texas world in which Kay Ellington grew up. A gypsy of newspapering, she followed a career with some of the nation’s most prestigious news and digital media organizations from New York to California to the Carolinas — and back again to Texas. As publisher and editor-in-chief of Lone Star Literary Life, the statewide outlet for book and author news, reviews, interviews, and events, she interacts with Texas’s best-known writers and newest books in all genres. Kay is also co-author, with Barbara Brannon, of the Paragraph Ranch series of Texas novels, and a partner in Bookadelphia, an independent literary organization and publishing house.
